How can we help you today?

How is the medication administered (pill vs injection)?

If your clinician prescribes a GLP-1, the way you take it will depend on the medication and the plan you agree upon together. GLP-1 medications can be taken either as a subcutaneous injection or an oral tablet.

  • Injection: Administered under the skin, typically once weekly.

  • Oral tablet: Taken once daily on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before eating or drinking.

Your clinician will discuss the benefits and considerations of each form based on your health history, lifestyle, and treatment goals, so you can decide together which option is best for you.
